Parents / Guardians of Sec.3 Victorians
Dear Sir / Madam
“PRESS ON …. VICTORIANS VII” (March 5 – 8, 2008)
-Victoria School Sec. 3 Overseas Adventure Camp at Kahang Organic Rice Eco Farm (KOREF), Johor
We have finalized plans for the abovementioned 4-day adventure camp in line with our mission of providing a holistic education for all students. The Form Teachers have also presented to you details of this camp during the Parent-Form Teacher Dialogue in VS on 25 January. For this camp, safety and security are two of our major concerns. We have made all the necessary preparations to ensure that the best safety and security measures are in place. For example, in terms of manpower resources, Form/Mentor teachers, SH/PE and HOD-Pupil Devt. will accompany the students at the camp.
EDU Outdoor Activities Pte. Ltd., the organization that is assisting Victoria School in planning this Camp, has partnered the school in running it successfully since 2002. They are also partners in the running of the Leadership Training Camp (LTC) since 2002. They have planned for enough trainers to be with your child during each activity.
We are also incorporating our Aesthetic programme and we have involved your child in the design of the Camp T-shirt. This will cost $8.50 per piece and we have included it in the overall cost for the Adventure Camp.
The cost for each student is $188.50. The school will subsidise, from the Edusave Grant, $80/- per pupil. The remaining $108.50 to be paid by your child could be paid through his Edusave account, or in cash. If your child requires financial assistance, please approach the Form Teacher and the school we will render assistance on a case-by-case basis.
It would be very helpful if you could ensure that your children’s passports are valid for at least 6 months from March 2008, which is the period of travel, and their photographs are updated, as these are mandatory travel requirements.
Thank you and best regards,
Low Eng Teong
Principal

If you all do not mind, why not going out for a movie next Friday to celebrate the end of exams? Movie perhaps...
